What is the Shattered Space Release Date?
Counting down the days! The highly anticipated first Starfield expansion, Shattered Space, drops on my calendar for September 30th. From what I’ve gathered, there won’t be any early access to grab this expansion before others, so whenever you purchase the DLC, we all get to dive in together on the same day!
How Much Does Shattered Space Cost?
As an enthusiast, I’d love to share a great deal for fellow space adventurers like us. If you opt to buy Shattered Space individually, it sets you back $29.99. But here’s the catch: going for the Starfield Digital Premium Edition, priced at $99.99, offers more than just the expansion. You get a groovy soundtrack, some snazzy cosmetic weapon skins, and other cool in-game perks! If you’ve already invested in the Premium Edition, remember not to double dip – Shattered Space will automatically appear in your library when it launches!
How Big is Shattered Space?
Bethesda aims to rekindle its fanbase’s excitement with its initial Starfield expansion, featuring a vast narrative to delve into. The expansion, titled “Shattered Space,” encompasses:
- More than 50 all-new locations across Va’ruun’kai
- Brand-new grenades, which you can now craft
- Additional enemies and creatures, such as Redeemed and Vortex Horrors
- The return of the Zealots, Spacers, and Crimson Fleet
It seems uncertain exactly when the expansion within the game will occur. Given that Va’ruun’kai appears to be a planet for advanced characters who have invested considerable time in the game, it may limit new players from experiencing the content immediately. Yet, I suspect Bethesda has considered this issue.
As a gamer, I’ve got to say that Shattered Space isn’t just about the narrative, it’s also packed with a whopping 50 new places to explore! So, buckle up and get ready for some serious space-roaming action.
How Long Will Shattered Space Be?
While Bethesda hasn’t officially confirmed the duration of Shattered Space, various predictions suggest that it might take anywhere from 7 to 10 hours to finish. However, if you choose to delve deeper into the new content by discovering all 50 unique locations, exploring the entire planet Va’ruun’kai, and engaging with every fresh character, your playtime could certainly exceed this estimate. If you’re only interested in the story content, a rough estimate would be about 8 hours. Keep in mind that these are just estimates; the actual playing time may vary, and I’ll gladly retract my words and update this information once we receive official confirmation!
What Platforms is Shattered Space Available On?
Similar to its original version, Shattered Space is set to debut on both PC and Xbox Series X|S platforms. However, there’s no news yet about Starfield releasing on PS5, and it seems unlikely that the game will be made compatible with older versions like Xbox One and PS4.
Is Shattered Space the Last Expansion for Starfield?
Absolutely not, let’s hope not! Earlier, Todd Howard indicated they plan to regularly roll out narrative-driven expansion packs annually for Starfield, aiming to prolong the game’s longevity.
