It’s possible that a multiplayer Pokemon game that was previously leaked could officially be unveiled during the Pokemon Presents stream scheduled for February 27th. Fans eagerly await what secrets this much-anticipated event might reveal, with many hoping to catch a glimpse of upcoming Pokemon games and perhaps even a hint at Gen 10.
Every year on February 27th, also known as Pokemon Day, developers share exciting updates about future projects during the Pokemon Presents livestream. Last time in 2024, players got a sneak peek at two upcoming games: “Pokemon Legends: Z-A,” set for release in 2025, and the popular “Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket” that took off since its October launch the previous year. The 2025 Pokemon Presents is slated to start at 6 AM Pacific Time / 9 AM Eastern Standard Time on February 27th, and recent leaks ahead of the event have longtime fans buzzing with anticipation.
In a recent post on Bluesky, well-known Nintendo leaker Pyoro posted a photo that seems to depict a synapse. Although it may not immediately seem connected to Pokemon, a significant Game Freak data breach in 2024 revealed a project code-named “Pokemon Synapse.” This project appears to be a multiplayer spin-off game with an emphasis on battles, being developed collaboratively by Game Freak and ILCA. The gameplay is said to resemble that found in Splatoon. Although Pyoro has been correct about some predictions in the past, fans should keep their skepticism high until the upcoming presentation this week.
Previously Leaked Multiplayer Pokemon Game May Appear During Upcoming Pokemon Presents Steam
Despite uncertainty about whether it will debut on Pokemon Day, fans are highly anticipating updates regarding the upcoming Nintendo Switch game Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which is still scheduled for release in 2025. Since its initial teaser during last year’s Pokemon Presents stream, not much has been disclosed about the game. However, it is set in the Kalos region, as seen in Pokemon X and Y, with a primary focus on events within Lumiose City. The fan-favorite Mega Evolution mechanic from these games will also be reintroduced in Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
Besides Pokemon Day, there are more thrilling happenings approaching for enthusiasts of this cherished franchise. On March 8, 2025, the Community Day in Pokemon GO will take place, featuring Fuecoco, the Paldean Fire-type starter. Furthermore, a novel themed booster pack is scheduled to be incorporated into Pokemon TCG Pocket on February 28.
