EXCLUSIVE: Dying Light: The Beast Has ‘The Most Diverse World’ Techland Has Ever Created

Next month will see the release of “Dying Light: The Beast,” which has become my most eagerly awaited game for the year. Recently, I had the opportunity to chat with its director, Nathan Lemaire, during Gamescom, diving deep into all aspects of Dying Light: The Beast. Following a full hour of playing The Beast, I was bursting with curiosity about it.

One point I was excited to delve into was the game’s setting. Upon the unveiling of Dying Light: The Beast, one of the concerns among fans revolved around its supposed ‘smaller scale.’ Interestingly enough, what unfolds is a remarkably expansive world that invites extensive exploration.

How Big is the Map in Dying Light: The Beast?

During my recent playtime at Gamescom for Dying Light: The Beast, I made every effort to explore the largest area of the map that I could. I am thrilled to report that the map appears to be substantial, and although it may not be the biggest in the series, it shows great promise to be the best yet. The Castor Woods are densely packed with stacks, making for a world teeming with possibilities.

During my backstage chat with Nathan Lemaire at Gamescom, we delved into the game’s world, and he ignited a sense of anticipation in me about the exciting exploration possibilities to come.

In our latest creation, Castor Woods, we’ve ventured to establish a remarkably varied setting – the most diverse world yet in this franchise. It encompasses different environments such as the Old Town, industrial zones, agricultural lands, and even marshy areas, all leading up to a quaint village. This rich tapestry of diverse landscapes offers an exciting blend of the familiar and the novel.

What’s cool is that it creates a renewed experience across each biome.

But just how full is the map in Dying Light: The Beast? That’s something else I needed to know:

One consistent point I often make is that Castor Woods is a place filled with hidden mysteries, offering numerous small clues for explorers to discover.

There are undisclosed areas, much like maps that gamers might stumble upon which reveal clues to hidden spots. In these concealed locations, they’ll uncover intriguing discoveries.

Our collection encompasses numerous artifacts that add depth to the backstory, as well as intriguing tidbits about Castor Woods and its inhabitants; it’s rich with such details indeed.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve got to say, Dying Light: The Beast seems like it could be the game we’ve all been waiting for – almost like Dying Light 3! Although it may not boast an enormous playground, the level of detail and joy of discovery in the existing terrain is simply captivating. I can hardly contain my excitement as the release date draws near, less than a month away!

Let me know if you’re excited to explore Castor Woods on the TopMob forum.
