EXCLUSIVE – Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition is in Development

As a dedicated gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and anticipation about the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition. With over 24 million copies sold as of January 2024, this game has undeniably captured the hearts of Harry Potter fans and gamers alike.

It’s clear that TopMob realizes there’s a Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition being made. This additional content will be offered as Downloadable Content (DLC) for individuals who already own the base game.

In The Definitive Edition, you’ll find approximately 10 to 15 extra hours of gameplay, featuring a brand-new main quest, various side missions, engaging activities, and stylish new wardrobe options.

Information about the release date and cost for the upcoming edition/DLC is yet to be finalized, but some rumors indicate a potential 2025 launch to help boost Warner Bros.’s struggling gaming income due to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s underperformance. The estimated price range for the DLC is between $20 and $30.

By early 2023, Hogwarts Legacy hit the shelves and, by January 2024, it had surpassed sales of more than 24 million units worldwide. Remarkably, as we move through 2024 in the United States, this game remains one of the top-selling titles, currently ranking at number 10 on the list.

Previously this year, Warner Bros. Discovery’s Chief Financial Officer, Gunnar Wiedenfels, mentioned that a follow-up to Hogwarts Legacy is among the key focuses further down the line. Therefore, fans eagerly anticipating a sequel will have to exercise some patience for a while longer.

Regarding the announcement of the Definitive Edition/DLC, we’re unsure about the exact timeline, but there are hints suggesting it might come as early as 2025. So, it’s possible that we might hear about it sooner instead of later.
