EXCLUSIVE: WWE 2K26 Adding Four New Match Types

I’m so hyped for WWE 2K26! It’s coming out in just two months, and from what I’ve heard, we’re getting some awesome new match types to play. I can’t wait to jump in and try them all out!

We’ve learned that CM Punk will be the main star in the game’s Showcase mode, and TopMob has also received information about the different match types you can expect this year.

What Are The New WWE 2K26 Match Types?

This year will introduce four new ways to find matches. One of these, according to TopMob, has been under development for a while.

The ‘I Quit’ match is returning to the game after a long absence. It hasn’t been featured since WWE 2K14, which came out in October 2013 – that’s about 13 years ago!

The Inferno Match is back after 13 years, letting players win by setting their opponent ablaze – the bigger the moves, the bigger the flames! Finally, the 3 Stages of Hell match returns, a format not seen since the Smackdown vs. Raw era, where players choose three different match types in a best-of-three falls contest.

The WWE 2K series is getting a new match type: the Dumpster Match! While we don’t know exactly how it will play yet, it might be similar to a casket match. We expect to learn more details in the next few weeks.

Intergender matches, which were first introduced last year, are making a comeback. They’ll also be included in the MyFACTION game mode.
