The story of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo follows a new group of sorcerers, each connected to a powerful and politically important family. Yuka and Tsurugi, grandchildren of Maki Zenin and carrying the legacy of Yuta Okkotsu, possess immense strength, but also face intense pressure due to their family names. Being directly linked to the most important families within the Jujutsu Society means they are constantly watched and judged.

Despite being set in the present day, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo still traps Yuta and Tsurugi Okkotsu within the strict, old-fashioned rules of the powerful Jujutsu families. It feels like the previous generation’s attempts to change things were only a brief pause before everything returned to the way it was.

The Zenin Clan Ends with Maki’s Death in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo

The Zenin Clan used to be one of the most powerful families of sorcerers, alongside the Gojo and Kamo clans. They were known for their strong cursed techniques. As fans of Jujutsu Kaisen know, the Zenin Clan highly valued strength and harshly judged anyone they considered weak, making their name well-known for both power and a strict, exclusive attitude.

Besides Toji Fushiguro, Maki Zenin is arguably the most well-known member of the Zenin Clan, largely due to her striking and violent confrontation with her family. Tsurugi viewed Maki as having proven her family wrong by demonstrating her immense power after years of being considered a disappointment, while Yuka saw the same events as a ruthless slaughter of the Zenin family.

In the sequel, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, the Zenin clan effectively dissolves with Maki’s passing, marking the end of a major family in the series. Neither Tsurugi nor Yuka wants to be connected to the Zenin name, choosing to forge their own paths, similar to Maki and Yuta. As of now, no other members of the Zenin clan have appeared in the new story.

He wasn’t just incredibly powerful – with those amazing Six Eyes and Limitless technique – he was basically the leader of the entire Gojo Clan. It was devastating to see him fall, and sadly, after his death, the clan’s legacy kind of fell to Yuta Okkotsu… but even that ended tragically in the recent ‘Modulo’ arc. It’s been a rough ride for everyone involved!

Now that powerful sorcerers like Gojo and Yuta are no longer leading the clan, Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu are becoming the next generation of leaders. However, they aren’t strong enough yet to challenge the other members of the Gojo Clan, as they still haven’t fully developed their powers. Essentially, Yuka and Tsurugi currently have no power to overrule decisions made by the rest of the clan.

The beginning of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo reveals that the Gojo Clan insisted Tsurugi Okkotsu wear a specific ring, ignoring his protests and Yuta’s wish for Yuka to have it. Despite Tsurugi and Yuka voicing their unhappiness, the Gojo Clan didn’t listen, prioritizing their own beliefs. They were unyielding, forcing the Okkotsu siblings to comply, but were later proven incorrect.

The Kamo Clan’s Fate Is Still a Mystery in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo

Nothing Matters but the Gojo Clan in JJK Sequel

The new Jujutsu Kaisen series hasn’t shared any information about the Kamo Clan, which was defeated in the original story. It’s currently unknown if any members of the clan still exist, as the sequel hasn’t provided any updates about their fate, leaving it a mystery. We currently know that Kenjaku was the last leader of the Kamo Clan.

Unlike the Kamo Clan, the Inumaki Clan appears to have a new sorcerer who uses cursed speech in a unique way. After seeing Usami use this technique against sorcerer Masaki Takeda, fans believe Usami might be the newest member of the Inumaki Clan.
