In the world of “Dead by Daylight,” they’ve rolled out an update (patch 8.6.1) to iron out several issues that have been arising with the latest features in their cooperative survival horror game. Given all the buzz around the game lately, this update should ensure a much smoother experience for those enjoying the new additions.
After a brief pause in releasing new chapters for the “Dead by Daylight” game in February, it’s now back with full momentum. Starting from early April, Behaviour Interactive has introduced a new Killer character into the mist and resurrected a much-loved annual event.
In the latest update for “Dead by Daylight,” some improvements have been made concerning the new Tokyo Ghoul-themed killer, known as The Ghoul, who is an intense representation of Ken Kaneki from the popular anime and manga series. A few of these modifications concern The Ghoul’s multi-purpose Kagune Leap attack, specifically adjusting the reticle so it no longer shows a collision warning when targeting downed Survivors, and eliminating the visual aura effect on The Ghoul’s tentacles during the second leap in a sequence. Furthermore, Patch 8.6.1 addresses an issue that was preventing players controlling The Ghoul from adjusting the field of vision slider after activating his special ability, and it also stops the camera from zooming in on a Survivor’s chest at the end of The Ghoul’s Mori animation.
One recent significant development is the comeback of the Blood Moon Event for “Dead by Daylight,” starting on April 7th, accompanied by updates to enhance player experience and ensure fairness. Now, Blood Point rewards are applicable to both standard and event matches, and a correction has been made to dispense the accurate Blood Points throughout the Blood Fueled event. Players using The Unknown will no longer perceive illusory Survivors near Blood Pumps and Blood Generators, and survivors struck by the Eye of Vecna will no longer carry two identical items in the same hand after exiting a locker. Furthermore, an invisible Blood Can has been eliminated from the Lery’s Memorial Institute map with this update.
Update 8.6.1 not only brings timely updates but also addresses numerous general issues across characters, perks, maps, loadouts, and game records, including some specific to Dead by Daylight’s zombies. For instance, it resolves problems such as getting stuck after falling from the clock tower’s second floor and enables hitting Survivors from lower levels in the Hawkins Lab tube.
