EA recently revealed an in-depth look at the upcoming game, F1 25, detailing all the exciting features fans can anticipate. The latest Deep Dive video primarily focused on the presentation enhancements for F1 25, highlighting numerous visual and audio modifications.
The upcoming installment of the F1 series, F1 25, is set for release later this year and promises to enhance several aspects related to the game franchise. Earlier, it was disclosed that the My Team mode in the new version will undergo significant changes, altering the way the mode is experienced. Notably, the ‘Owner Driver’ role will no longer exist, as players will now be responsible for managing two drivers instead of concentrating on a single one.
F1 25’s Presentation Upgrades Explained
After our last comprehensive look at F1 25, EA Sports has shared details about several upcoming visual and auditory presentation enhancements in their latest unveiling. This recent deep dive explores various modifications, including changes to both the visual and aural aspects. Additionally, they demonstrated new customization options, such as methods to make a car’s decals and sponsored liveries more realistic. Furthermore, the reveal also disclosed new features for the F1 World, including an Invitational mode and a ‘Driver of the Day’ system.
LiDAR Circuits And Reverse Tracks
Some of the future race tracks in F1 25 will enjoy the enhancement of advanced LiDAR scan technology. By combining EGO Engine and LiDAR scans (which essentially involves using Light Detection and Ranging systems to capture real-life tracks and replicate them more authentically in the game), several tracks will boast a level of detail never seen before. Specifically, Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne, Suzuka, and Imola will all benefit from LiDAR scans, ensuring that their in-game designs mirror every intricate aspect of the actual circuits. This high level of detail will encompass the correct plant species adorning each track as well as accurate mapping for every bump and shade spot.
For the very first time in F1’s history, fans will have an opportunity to compete on some tracks in reverse order. Specifically, Silverstone, Zandvoort, and Red Bull Ring will offer this unique experience within Grand Prix, Time Trial, and Multiplayer modes. Moreover, from the second season onwards, these reversed layouts can be incorporated into Career mode as well.
More Customization and Enhanced Details
The upcoming F1 25 game is set to significantly improve the authenticity of the F1 series, with numerous presentation enhancements that seem promising towards this aim. For PC users, there’s an exclusive ‘Path-Tracing’ feature, a type of ray-tracing that considers indirect light sources. In terms of overall gameplay, players can expect new driver-engineer audio interactions and authentic driver radio communications. Additionally, the library of real-world driver voice lines has been expanded, with lines for pole positions and flags included. The Driver Career and My Team modes will also feature new media and paddock scenes, featuring the voices of Natalie Pinkham, Anthony Davidson, and Naomi Schiff. Podium cutscenes are set to receive an upgrade, with crowd sizes adjusting according to the circuit. Furthermore, NVIDIA Audio2Face technology is promised for more detailed facial animations.
Beyond just mentioning it, F1 25 boasts a host of visual enhancements over its previous versions that are truly noteworthy. In the My Team mode, the unique sounds of each player’s engine will be determined by the engine manufacturer. Now, official cars can sport special edition paint jobs, a feature only available to F1 World cars in the past. Additionally, the functionality and clarity of flashbacks have been improved for easier use by newcomers.
Regarding the updates to personalization in F1 25, there are plenty of fresh features to explore. The process for designing sponsors has been completely overhauled, enabling players to craft liveries that better mirror their authentic counterparts. These liveries can be rotated and adjusted in size, and the game’s fictional sponsors now boast more intricate decal layouts. By cultivating loyalty with sponsors, players will be able to cruise around with designs centered on a main sponsor. In essence, players will enjoy greater freedom when it comes to these decals, as they won’t be confined to specific positions on their vehicle.
F1 World Changes

Invitationals and Improved Driver of the Day
Apart from discussing the enhancements to presentations, the recent Deep Dive also touched upon alterations in the F1 World associated with F1 25. A fresh collaboration feature called Invitationals has been introduced within F1 World. Invitationals enable participants to participate in exclusive multiplayer activities. Each Invitational provides a unique key for a single multiplayer race with custom mods and settings. Players can team up with friends to compete against AI drivers in this mode, accumulating points by outperforming other players and completing tasks. The aim is to reach higher prize tiers by collaborating effectively and scoring enough points. Up to ten participants can participate in a single Invitational event.
Enhancing the concept of fostering collaborative gameplay, the revamped Driver of the Day feature in F1 25 spotlights favorable play and streamlines friend request sending, enabling fans to swiftly unite with other drivers. Players can garner recognitions like ‘Most Overtakes’ or ‘Cleanest Drivers’, and the updated Driver of the Day system assists players in locating these individuals when forming a team for Invitationals. The Positive Play Awards within this mechanic are designed to encourage respectful gameplay, constructive player engagement, and chances to bond with other players, thereby cultivating a friendly gaming community.
