Faker Recognized in New Year’s Ceremony

For more than ten years, Faker has been the most successful player in League of Legends, winning more world championships than anyone else. He’s also achieved numerous records within South Korea’s domestic league and has become a key figure in the growth of esports.

Many have dubbed Faker ‘the GOAT’ of esports.

Speaking after the medal ceremony, Faker said:

Receiving this award from the Republic of Korea is a great personal honor. However, I wouldn’t be here today without the support of my incredible teammates and colleagues who have worked alongside me every step of the way.

I couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of my fans – they constantly inspire me. I’m committed to giving my all, both during competitions and in my personal life, to spread positive messages and help grow Korean esports.

Faker is widely considered a consistently kind and successful person. He’s a strong competitor, but also known for being generous, humble, and well-mannered, handling his achievements with grace.
