Fallout: London Devs Will ‘Vanish From Society’ If The Launch Fails

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of ambitious projects that never quite made it to the finish line. But Fallout: London, with its impressive team of over 100 developers and years of dedication, holds a special place in my heart. The anticipation has been building for what feels like an eternity, and finally, we’re on the cusp of seeing this labor of love come to fruition.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that after years of anticipation and excitement, Fallout: London, the massive mod project, seems to be on the verge of release. We’ve witnessed numerous trailers, development updates, and now it’s in the final testing stages. With each passing day, we fans grow more eager to dive into this expansive game that has taken so long to come together. Initially, some of us had doubts due to the unexpected delay in April caused by Fallout 4’s next-gen upgrade. But now, we’re closer than ever to experiencing this extraordinary creation.

As a passionate gamer, I’ve heard some intriguing news lately. The creators of this anticipated mod mentioned in an interview that if it doesn’t take off successfully, they might have to disappear from the gaming community.

Fail and Flee

Fallout: London is an impressive mod project, though it may bend some rules from the original Fallout series’ lore. Over the past few years, a team of over 100 diverse developers have been working on this mod, resulting in a file size of approximately 30 GB when it becomes available for download via GOG.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve eagerly anticipated this game for what feels like an eternity. With substantial funding and countless hours poured into its creation, it’s hard to believe that some have doubted its release. Yet, here we are, still waiting with bated breath for the day when we can finally get our hands on it.

As an avid fan, I can only imagine what Dean Carter, the leading figure behind the FOLON (Fallout: London) project, might have expressed to Metro in a recent interview about the potential consequences of our cherished project underperforming:

If it’s an awful launch then we’ll probably all just go to sleep, and vanish from society.

After the launch, he added, the core team intends to shift focus to independent game development, producing their own original titles instead of continuing to build on Fallout 4 through mods.
