Fallout: London Patch Addresses British Inconsistencies

As an old-school gamer with decades of gaming under my belt and a soft spot for post-apocalyptic worlds, I’ve been eyeing Fallout: London since its release. With a heart full of nostalgia for the original Fallout series, I dived in, hoping to find another gem. Alas, it was not meant to be.

As a devoted fan, I’m delighted to share that Fallout: London is still captivating the post-apocalyptic gaming community, with countless players immersed in this expansive mod that took years to perfect. Just a few weeks after its release, the team behind it, ‘Team FOLON’, has rolled out a significant update to address some of the initial hiccups we encountered.

It’s a fair update that touches on the most common problems players have been experiencing, but it also offered a few adjustments to address inconsistencies in the overall British vibe of the mod.

Increasing Accuracy

I found Fallout: London to be alright, but it didn’t capture my heart and lacked the excitement needed to keep me engaged for long. After about an hour or two, I decided to move on. It’s not poorly done; it’s just not something that appeals to me. The city of London is impressively large and well-recreated, but that alone doesn’t make me want to invest countless hours into finishing everything.

In their latest release for the expanded mod, Team FOLON made numerous significant updates, enhancing user experience through various quality-of-life adjustments. They also corrected certain language discrepancies, especially those related to terms, particularly ones specific to Britain.

For instance:

  • Ladybug has been renamed to Ladybird
  • ‘Cash Register’ has been renamed to ‘Till’
  • ‘Wrenches’ have been renamed to ‘Spanner’

In other areas, the complete list of modifications encompasses all changes introduced in the 1.01 update. This overhaul affects numerous quests, and it also tackles several minor glitches. For instance, a peculiar problem where Churchill, a sturdy bulldog, would transform into Fallout 4’s Dogmeat upon being dismissed and rehired by the player has been fixed.
