Fallout: Nuevo México Trailer Eliminates Concerns of Cancellation

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that the latest news about Fallout: Nuevo México has me absolutely thrilled! After the unfortunate cancellations and holds on other ambitious mods like Fallout: London, it’s a breath of fresh air to see this project back in the limelight.

Hooray for Fallout enthusiasts! A new trailer for Fallout: Nuevo México has been released, and it comes following worries about the project’s cancellation. In this latest, substantial three-minute video, we get another glimpse at the game-scale mod that aims to rejuvenate the spirit of Fallout: New Vegas.

Compared to Fallout: London, the latest addition to the Fallout 4 platform, developing Fallout: Nuevo México using the engine from Fallout: New Vegas is a slightly more challenging task compared to working with the tools provided in Fallout 4.

Viva México

Previously this year, doubts emerged about the fate of Nuevo México, an expansive Fallout: New Vegas mod with significant promise. The team announced that the project was temporarily halted following the departure of its primary developer, Zapshock. This news came just weeks after the indefinite shelving of Fallout: London, another ambitious mod for Fallout 4, which shared similar ambitions.

Contrarily, Fallout: London was launched several weeks afterward, whereas there’s been a long period of quiet surrounding the release of Fallout: Nuevo México.

This latest trailer helps to dispel fears that it’ll never make it to the market:

Per the mod’s synopsis on YouTube:

In North America, Mexico City stands out as its most populous metropolis, playing a pivotal role as the central point in the game Fallout: New Mexico. Despite being currently under construction, we’re excited to unveil this legendary post-apocalyptic landscape.

Originally thriving as a colossal urban center, Mexico City now stands in disarray, serving as a battleground where various factions fight for supremacy and existence. From the deteriorated neighborhoods like Chapultepec to the submerged waterways of Xochimilco, the city presents a chilling mix of allure and violence.

The update doesn’t mention the recent hold, nor does it address the radio silence that has been in place for the last few months. It’s just solid news that the mod is moving forward once again, and not only that but it looks brilliant on-screen.
