A devoted artist, who’s a fan of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, recently unveiled their latest concept designs featuring the Paradox forms of Larvesta on social media. In these designs, they presented two unique versions of Larvesta that could potentially be seen in the games. Other trainers admired their work and appreciated their consistent dedication.

The Pokemon referred to as Torch, specifically Larvesta, debuted in the games Pokemon Black and White. To harness Larvesta’s full potential on a team, trainers need to exhibit patience since it evolves into the formidable Volcarona at level 59. This dual-type critter, characterized by its white fur, striking blue eyes, and five fiery antennae, is recognizable as a Bug and Fire type Pokemon. Upon evolution, Volcarona’s special attack and speed capabilities significantly increase. While Larvesta and Volcarona can be encountered in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet generally, the evolved form, Volcarona, has two version-exclusive Paradox variants named Slither Wing and Iron Moth, exclusive to each game version.

In the game Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, fan artists have imagined what Larvesta might look like as a pre-evolution to the Paradox forms of Volcarona, based on Slither Wing and Iron Moth. On the r/Pokemon subreddit, HertzBurst, a known Paradox fan concept artist, shared two concepts for Paradox Larvesta. Despite not being given names, these concepts have unique appearances tailored to their potential evolution into either Slither Wing or Iron Moth. For instance, Past Paradox Larvesta was designed with the color scheme of Slither Wing, featuring more ruffled fur, yellow eyes with orange markings, and a light blue thorax. Conversely, Future Paradox Larvesta has a metallic body, orange LEDs for eyes, five diamond-shaped antennae, and a chromatic underside.

Pokemon Fan Artist Shares Past and Future Paradox Larvesta Concepts

HertzBurst recently displayed mock-ups showing how the various Paradox Larvesta forms might appear in the game engine for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Notably, HertzBurst has previously designed ideas such as Mega Starmie, which attracted interest from Pokemon enthusiasts. Despite these forms not having official names yet, another user proposed that Crawling Spike and Iron Larva could be suitable names for the ancient and futuristic versions of the Torch Pokemon. Since Slither Wing is a combination of Bug and Fighting types, and Iron Moth has Fire and Poison types, it’s reasonable to expect similar characteristics in each Paradox Larvesta form.

Despite the fact that Volcarona has previously been honored with fan-created tributes like LEGO builds, it’s rare to see fan art of Larvesta among Pokémon enthusiasts. It remains uncertain when Larvesta and Volcarona will reappear in the Pokémon series.
