The first appearance of the Beast is a truly stunning moment in the series, comparable to when King Ghidorah was first revealed in the Godzilla: King of Monsters movie. Many enthusiastic fans think they’ve already figured out who—or what—the Beast really is.

Some fans speculate that Titan X could be Biollante, a classic Godzilla enemy reborn. However, this is probably not true. Biollante is mostly a plant-based creature and doesn’t seem as biologically complex as Titan X. While Biollante is known for its vine-like tendrils with smaller mouths, Titan X appears to be more of a water-dwelling creature, even if it also has tendrils.
Biollante has never shown it can swim, and Titan X traveled away from Skull Island by sea. This suggests Titan X is bolder than Biollante, especially since it entered what is probably Godzilla’s territory. Also, Biollante is a mix of Godzilla’s DNA, while Titan X seems incredibly ancient, having woken up after years of sleep – possibly as old as the biblical figure Methuselah.
Titan X seems like a mix of different creatures, but doesn’t show any clear plant traits. Unlike Biollante, who is famous for her rose-shaped head, Titan X lacks this feature entirely. This alone makes it highly unlikely they’re the same creature. However, there’s another key difference that definitively proves Titan X isn’t Biollante.
It Is Technically Impossible For Biollante to Appear in Monarch Due to Current Rights Restrictions

Currently, the TV series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is owned by Legendary Television. The monster Biollante, however, is owned by Toho and Miramax. This makes it very difficult, if not impossible, for Biollante to appear on the show unless Toho specifically allowed it.
Biollante might show up in future seasons of the show, and potentially even in movies. However, it’s definitely not true that Biollante and Titan X are the same being. Despite this, some fans still believe they are. Luckily, upcoming episodes will strongly suggest who Titan X actually is.
Overall, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is a standout addition to the Monsterverse. The monster introduced in season 2 seems just as, if not more, threatening than those we’ve seen before. Although this new creature isn’t quite like Biollante, that doesn’t rule out the possibility of Biollante appearing later. The studio likely realized how they handled Tiamat and will give Biollante a chance to really stand out when the time comes.
