Recently, we’ve been treated to exciting new additions like Mortal Kombat 1 and the Mortal Kombat movie series, but there’s something special about returning to the roots of this legendary franchise with a remastered edition of Mortal Kombat 9.

More recent installments of the Mortal Kombat series have received generally favorable feedback and garnered a wide following, yet some gamers still prefer the classic versions. Regrettably, choices for playing vintage Mortal Kombat games on contemporary gaming platforms are limited, leading to the rise of a petition advocating for their release, which currently boasts over 900 signatures.

Zach, an individual, has initiated a request on Change.org for a revamp of the 2011 ‘Mortal Kombat’ game, originally launched for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, then later on PC and PlayStation Vita. The petition highlights that it’s challenging to access this version due to its compatibility with outdated hardware and the Steam version being discontinued. The goal of the petition is to urge Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios to modernize the 2011 ‘Mortal Kombat’, enhancing graphics and reinstating online functionality for contemporary gaming platforms.

Mortal Kombat 9 Petition is Gaining Traction

It appears that a significant number of enthusiasts for the game “Mortal Kombat” are expressing their desire for the 2011 version to return.
