Fans of Netflix’s Controversial New TV Show Have Some Good News

Reality TV often sparks debate and isn’t universally enjoyed. Shows like Love Island have been criticized for potentially harmful behavior towards contestants, including accusations of manipulation and sexism. Other series, such as Love Is Blind, have raised concerns about how well participants are supported and whether the show is always fair. Despite the criticism, these shows remain very popular. Netflix’s newest reality offering, Age of Attraction, is facing similar issues due to the large age differences between contestants.

Netflix’s recent dating show, Age of Attraction, was a hit with viewers despite its unusual concept. The eight-episode series quickly gained a loyal following and made it into Netflix’s Top 10 worldwide. Good news for fans: a reunion episode will be available soon!

What Is Age of Attraction About?

Similar to the show Love is Blind, Age of Attraction is a dating experiment where contestants get to know each other without knowing how old they are. The goal is to test if age really matters in love, and contestants aren’t allowed to ask each other’s age until they decide to become a couple. Only then do they reveal how old their partner is.

Relationships with significant age differences have always existed, but the Netflix show Age of Attraction puts these dynamics front and center. The first season featured several couples that sparked debate, particularly Jorge (60) and Vanelle (27), who had a 33-year age gap – the largest in the series. Vanessa and Logan (ages 49 and 29) also proved controversial, with viewers often describing their relationship as unhealthy. Theresa (54) and John (27) faced criticism as well, with fans finding it concerning that Theresa didn’t seem to recognize the potential issues their age difference – she was twice his age, and her children were close to his in age – might create. While all the couples on Age of Attraction had noticeable age gaps, Chris and Leah had the smallest, at 15 years.

What Do We Know About The Reunion?

Fans of the show Age of Attraction are in for a treat! A reunion is planned for April 1, 2026, at 7pm Eastern Time on The Viall Files podcast, hosted by Nick Viall and Natalie Joy. The episode will feature the original contestants and promises to reveal what’s happened in their lives since the show aired, including updates on relationships and plenty of drama. Viewers are eager to find out which couples are still together and who has gone their separate ways.

I’m really hoping we get a second season of Age of Attraction! Netflix hasn’t officially said anything yet, and the hosts and producers haven’t given us any news, but I’ve heard they’re actually starting to cast for Season 2. It could just be them testing the waters to see if enough people are still interested, but the show is still on Netflix’s top ten list even after the finale aired on March 25th, which feels like a really positive sign to me.
