Solo Leveling is an action-packed anime that’s based on a well-known webtoon comic. Unfortunately, a sweet scene featuring characters Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In was edited out of the anime’s finale, to the disappointment of their fans.

Solo Leveling Anime Removes Small Scene Between Jinwoo and Cha-Hae

Happened in Webtoon Chapter 108 and Should Have Been In Season Finale

The animated series “Solo Leveling” is exceptionally action-packed, often leading viewers through one battle after another, with each encounter surpassing the last in quality. The show’s adaptation from webcomic to anime has been remarkable, significantly boosting its appeal and fanbase.

In essence, the Solo Leveling series is relatively brief compared to others, with only around four seasons likely if new content solely for the anime isn’t introduced. This brevity is a significant point of contention among fans, as they often find that the anime omits scenes from the manhwa more frequently than one might expect. The second season’s final episode was particularly noteworthy in this regard.

In the world of Solo Leveling, the ship between Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In is a favorite among readers. These two characters are both adored and formidable, holding the top S-Rank Hunter status. Readers of the Manhwa anticipate their relationship deepening even more from Season 2 onwards, as they delve further into each other’s lives.

In the second season of Solo Leveling, we see a significant deepening of their relationship, however, an intimate scene indicating Cha Hae-In’s affection for Jinwoo was left out in the anime adaptation.

In chapter 108 of the comic series, later depicted in episode 25 of the animated adaptation and serving as its conclusion, the Hunters gather at a funeral following events on Jeju Island. Both Cha Hae-In and Sung Jinwoo are among those present. At the funeral, Cha Hae-In catches sight of Jinwoo and blushes, looking away shyly. However, Jinwoo, being less adept at reading signals, is perplexed by her discomfort. Regrettably, this sweet interaction between them was omitted from the anime with no explanation, leaving fans of their potential relationship disappointed, as well as those who prefer the animated version to closely follow the original storyline.

Regardless of the circumstances, fans can expect that these two characters will continue to share many significant scenes in Seasons 3 and beyond of Solo Leveling. Fans need not worry about their interactions being reduced. Here’s hoping for a smoother editing process in the future with fewer important scenes getting cut out.

His behavior within the dungeon, coupled with Guildmaster Choi’s interest in investigating him, along with the Association’s involvement, raises some suspicions. Among all the Hunters I have encountered, he is the first one who has a pleasant scent.” (Cha Hae-In)

What Other Big Moments Were Removed from the Anime?

The Anime Cut Out Jinwoo Extracting a Powerful Shadow

In the original comic, Sung Jinwoo extracted not only General-level shadow Beru (the Ant King) but also the Ant Queen, who is equally high-ranked. However, in the anime adaptation, the scene of him extracting the Ant Queen was omitted. This is because her authority conflicted with his and she couldn’t reproduce as a shadow, so he chose to release her. To date, these are the highest-ranked shadows we’ve encountered.

It’s really disappointing that the scene got cut out, as it would have been fantastic and provided a clearer understanding of Jinwoo’s abilities to the audience.

Season 2 surpassed the success of the first, largely due to the intense Jeju Island arc and the imminent danger posed by the Ant King.
