Pharloom in *Hollow Knight: Silksong* has lots of secret paths, most of which you’ll unlock by finding Ancestral Art. A large part of the Pharloom area doesn’t become accessible until Act 3, so players who want to see everything the game offers should aim to reach that part of the story.
One of the extra maps in Act 3 is a hidden area within Far Fields, accessible through a secret path. Here’s how to find it in Silksong.
How To Reach Far Fields Secret Area In Silksong
To unlock the hidden Far Fields area in *Silksong*, players need to find the statue of Karmelita in Hunter’s March and then use the Ancestral Art ability to reveal a secret path.
As a big fan of exploration in this game, I learned that you can’t get to the hidden Far Fields area until Act 3. The ‘Silk Soar’ ability is the key, and it doesn’t become available until then, so you’ll have to wait!
Jump up, then head right until you get to the edge between Hunter’s March and Far Fields. You’ll find a shortcut there that links these two areas together.
The shortcut connecting Deep Docks and Hunter’s March will be blocked starting in Act 3. To reopen it, Hornet needs to travel to Hunter’s March via The Marrow and then destroy the boulder blocking the path from the Hunter’s March side.
Players will need to replay the pogo-based platforming sections, but they can thankfully bypass a significant portion of it using a special ability.
What To Do In Far Fields Secret Area In Silksong
The Far Fields is a hidden area in *Silksong* where you can find important items. Notably, it’s where you obtain the Heart of the Wild, a key component for completing the main story.
In the hidden Far Fields area of *Silksong*, if you take the easternmost path, you’ll find the home of Sprintmaster Swift, where you can complete the “Fastest in Pharloom” quest.
In *Silksong*, you’ll also be able to link the secret area to Pilgrim’s Rest, creating additional ways to access it beyond the main entrance.
The quest ‘The Hidden Hunter’ in *Silksong* sends Hornet to the secret area known as the Far Fields.
