Fastest Way to Level Up Guns in BF6

Earning weapon skins, attachments, and badges in Battlefield 6 takes a lot of time. With the developers shutting down servers used by automated players, you’ll mostly need to play the main game modes to make progress. If you feel like upgrading your weapons is slow, you might need to adjust how you play. This Battlefield 6 guide will show you how to level up your guns quickly and efficiently, without constant grinding.

How to Get Weapon XP Fast in Battlefield 6

The easiest way to improve your weapons is simply to play the game. However, the most efficient method involves focusing on specific game modes and maps. Which ones you choose will depend on the weapon you’re trying to upgrade.

Close-Medium-Ranged Weapons

If you’re looking to improve your SMGs, Carbines, or other weapons best used in fights around 30 meters, you have two choices:

  • Play Squad Deathmatch or King of the Hill on any map
  • Play Conquest on Siege of Cairo or Empire State

Smaller game modes, like Squad Deathmatch and King of the Hill, offer fast-paced, focused action – they’re perfect for practicing your shooting and reaction time against other players. Just keep in mind that because these modes are quicker, you might not earn as much weapon experience per game compared to larger modes.

If you’re looking for a massive battle, try Conquest on Empire State – it supports up to 64 players and focuses entirely on infantry combat. However, it can be quite hectic. If you’re struggling on Empire State, Siege of Cairo is a good alternative. It features fewer vehicles – just two per team – and the map layout is better for fighting with rifles and other close to medium-range weapons.

When playing large-scale modes like Conquest, try to attack the enemy from the sides – this is called flanking. Look for the largest group of enemy players and hit them where they don’t expect it. Another good strategy is to get behind enemy lines and stop reinforcements from reaching the battle. Remember, enemies who don’t know you’re there are the easiest to defeat.

Long-Ranged Weapons

To quickly improve weapons like sniper rifles and machine guns, play Conquest or Escalation on the New Sobek City map. It’s a great place to use these weapons because it has both narrow spaces and open areas, making players easy targets for accurate shots.

The Breakthrough mode works well on most maps, but it’s especially good for players who like to use long-range weapons. Maps like Blackwell Oilfields, Liberation Peak, and Mirak Valley are perfect for snipers and machine gunners. Plus, if you’re trying to complete weapon challenges in Battlefield 6, these maps are a great place to start.

Instead of waiting in line for game modes like Conquest, Escalation, or Breakthrough from the main menu, try using the Custom Search filter. This allows you to choose exactly which modes and maps you want to play.

Casual Breakthrough

The Casual Breakthrough playlist features two teams of eight players competing against each other, with the remaining team slots filled by AI-controlled bots. Currently, this playlist is only available on the Siege of Cairo and Empire State maps.

Casual Breakthrough is perfect if you’re looking for a relaxed way to earn XP and finish challenges. Just be aware that bots give out less XP. You’ll still improve your weapons and account, but you’ll gain significantly less XP per match than you would in a standard PvP game.
