As a lifelong fan of the Fatal Fury series, I can hardly contain my excitement as Gato joins the roster for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves! It’s been far too long since we’ve had a new installment, and the return of this classic fighting game franchise is music to my ears.

2022 saw SNK revealing plans for a new installment in the “Fatal Fury” series, sparking enthusiasm among long-time followers. Expected to make its comeback on April 24, 2025, “Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves” will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, continuing the narrative from the previous game in the series, which was “Garou: Mark of the Wolves” released in 1999. As we move closer to the launch, more characters like Kim Dong Hwan and Mai Shiranui have been unveiled as part of the upcoming “Fatal Fury” game’s cast.

In a freshly unveiled teaser for “Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves”, it’s been confirmed that Gato will be the latest character to join the game’s roster of combatants. The trailer displays an array of moves, ranging from swift attacks to dramatic finishes, that this martial artist is expected to introduce in the game. Cory Yee lends his voice to the character and throughout the video, Gato is depicted wearing a traditional black robe with dark green pants, a look that aligns with fans’ expectations based on previous appearances of the character. In “City of the Wolves”, he becomes another martial artist in the new “Fatal Fury” series, alongside Hotaru Futaba.
