The creators of the upcoming game titled “FBC: Firebreak” have expressed an inclination towards launching it on the eagerly awaited Nintendo Switch 2 at some undetermined time in the future, even though their primary goal is to release the game on existing platforms currently. Hailing from the same universe as both Alan Wake and Control, FBC: Firebreak marks a unique shift for Remedy Entertainment, as it is their inaugural multiplayer cooperative title.
Within the confines of The Oldest House, the game titled “FBC: Firebreak” continues the narrative where “Control” ended, as players assume roles within emergency response teams, working to eliminate lingering traces of the multidimensional Hiss danger. Their mission is to protect and secure the Federal Bureau of Control’s headquarters, and they will have the opportunity to harness some of the agency’s powerful, otherworldly artifacts that are meant for containment.
The game “FBC: Firebreak” is scheduled to launch on multiple platforms on June 17, but there’s a chance it might also appear on the Switch 2 in the future. During an interview with Danny Pena of Gamertag Radio, Mike Kayatta, Game Director of “FBC: Firebreak”, expressed interest in bringing the game to the Nintendo Switch 2 at some point, though they are now concentrating on ensuring a seamless release on existing gaming systems. Since “Alan Wake Remastered” and “Control” are already available on the Switch, the Nintendo console is not entirely new ground for Remedy Entertainment. Kayatta hinted that fans shouldn’t dismiss the possibility of “FBC: Firebreak” eventually becoming playable on the successor to the Switch.
