The second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is off to a strong start, with the first five episodes receiving good feedback from viewers. Before the season began, fans wondered who would join the story, and we’ve already met some new characters, including the particularly interesting Hero of the South. With five episodes still to come, it’s likely Frieren and her companions will encounter many more people on their journey.
Frieren Season 2 Episode 6 Has Been Delayed
- New Frieren episode has been delayed
- The anime will return after a week-long break
Fans are excited to find out what happens next in Frieren, but they’ll have to wait a little longer. The anime is taking a one-week break, so Frieren Season 2 Episode 6 will now air on February 27, 2026. While a break isn’t ideal, it gives everyone a chance to catch up on other shows.
The Frieren anime is heading into the Divine Revolte arc next. While this story lasted six chapters in the manga, the anime will likely condense it into just two or three episodes. With a new arc starting, we can also expect to meet some new characters.
Frieren Season 2 Has One Major Problem
Image via Toho Animation The second season of Frieren is excellent overall. The only real downside is that it’s quite short. With only 10 episodes planned, and half already aired, there are just five left. This shorter length surprised many fans, who anticipated a shorter season, but not one this brief.
As a huge Frieren fan, I understand why the anime’s first season was a bit shorter than some might have hoped! It’s because the original manga has actually been on hold since 2025. Sadly, the author and artist both needed to prioritize their health, and production had to pause. We haven’t had any news about when the manga might come back since then, which means we’re probably looking at a pretty long wait – possibly several months, or even until 2027 – for a new chapter. It’s tough, but totally understandable given the circumstances!
