As a seasoned adventurer with countless hours spent traversing the realm of Eorzea, I must say that the variety of hairstyles available to us players is truly breathtaking! From the sleek and sophisticated “Modern Legend” and the saintly “Saintly Style,” which can be purchased from Enie in the Firmament, to the more exotic options obtainable through PvP or Island Sanctuary, there’s a style for every taste.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but marvel at the exceptional character creation feature in Final Fantasy 14. It provides a diverse array of playable races, each with numerous personalization options to choose from. From an extensive selection of hairstyles, you can craft your unique avatar. However, it’s worth noting that certain races like Hrothgar and Viera might not initially have as many customization choices available compared to others.
In Final Fantasy 14, each character has the chance to broaden their selection of hairstyles, thereby enriching the variety. You can acquire new hairstyles in multiple ways by simply visiting the Aesthetician. Here, you’ll find all the available hairstyles thus far, along with instructions on how to unlock them.
Hairstyles Bought From The Mogstation
Sharlayan Studies
Usable by all races. Available for male and female characters (except female Hrothgar).
As a longtime Final Fantasy XIV player, I can confidently say that one of my favorite aspects of this game is the depth and detail put into each character’s design, including their unique hairstyles. Recently, I came across a particularly striking hairstyle inspired by Alphinaud, a character from the game. However, to acquire it, players must purchase Brand-new Alphinaud’s Attire on Mogstation.
Sharlayan Rebellion
Usable by all races. Available for male and female characters (except female Hrothgar).
To sport this hairdo inspired by Alisaie, you’ll need to purchase the freshly launched Alisaie’s Wardrobe from the Mogstation.
Liberating Locks
Usable by all races except Hrothgar. Female only.
Having spent a good portion of my life as a history enthusiast and fashion aficionado, I must say that this new hairstyle brings me back to the days of the medieval queen Lyse, a character who has always held a special place in my heart due to her strong leadership and timeless style. The outfit that goes along with it perfectly completes the “Lyse’s Leadership Attire” set, transporting players right into the heart of the game’s rich historical context.
Master & Commander
Usable by all races except Hrothgar and Viera. Available for male and female characters.
The Aymeric’s Attire collection allows gamers to don clothing similar to that of the well-known Elezen from Ishgard, Aymeric, and also acquire a hairstyle reminiscent of his distinctive style.

Pulse
Usable by all races. Different versions for male and female characters (not available for female Hrothgar).
As a long-time fan of Final Fantasy 13, I find it incredibly exciting to see the iconic hairstyles of Lightning and Snow being incorporated into the MMO version of the game. Having played through the original game multiple times and developing a strong attachment to these characters, I can appreciate the detail that has gone into preserving their unique looks in this new format. The fact that both female and male characters can now sport these iconic hairstyles is an added bonus for players who want to embody the spirit of these legendary heroes. It’s a small touch, but it adds a layer of immersion and nostalgia that I believe will be greatly appreciated by fans of the series.
Eternal Bonding
Usable by all races except Hrothgar and Viera. Different versions for male and female characters.
After purchasing the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding, players gain access to fresh outfits, emotes, furniture, and hairstyles, as well as additional items. To obtain one of the Eternal Bond sets (Promise of Innocence, Promise of Passion, or Promise of Devotion), you must buy from the online store. However, only the last two options necessitate spending money. The Promise of Innocence (Standard) pack can be obtained for free through the store.
