Summary
- Final Fantasy 14 players found a mistranslation in the Moogle Treasure Trove event’s Minimog Challenges.
- Zadnor is incorrectly listed as one of the locations for the event.
- Instead, players must go to the Bozjan Southern Front and complete any critical engagement that appears on the map at random intervals.
Players of Final Fantasy 14 uncovered an unusual mistake in the Moogle Treasure Trove event, finding that one of the weekly Minimog Challenges erroneously stated completing a critical battle in the Zadnor area. The community of players figured out that the task actually calls for being stationed at the Bozjan Southern Front, although both zones are part of the “Save The Queen” field operations introduced in Shadowbringers.
The Bozjan Southern Front represents a grim battlefield, where the intense struggle between the Bozjan Resistance and the Garlean Empire intensified during the period known as Shadowbringers. This struggle saw several Hrothgar rebels leading the resistance, recruiting the Warrior of Light and their comrades to join them in opposing the Imperial forces. This collaboration was part of the “Save The Queen” series of field operation quests.
The “Save The Queen” mission consisted of two open-field zones and three raid instances, including Delubrum Reginae. To access this mission, Final Fantasy 14 players first needed to finish the “Return To Ivalice” alliance raid trilogy from Stormblood, and also make progress in the main storyline of Shadowbringers.
Players participating in the Moogle Treasure Trove event in Final Fantasy 14 might find themselves perplexed by one objective. As Square Enix mentioned in a Lodestone post, there seems to be an error in the game where Zadnor is mistakenly marked as a location for the final Minimog Challenges. In reality, players should head to the Bozjan Southern Front and participate in any random critical engagement that pops up on their map. Interestingly, the in-game menu for the Minimog Challenge displays artwork of the Bozjan Southern Front and encourages players to share strategies on social media to help reduce confusion.
Final Fantasy 14’s Minimog Challenge Incorrectly States Zadnor Is Required
In Final Fantasy 14, every player faces identical Minimog Challenges, which offer 10 Irregular Tomestones of Phantasmagoria upon successful completion. On the other hand, players yet to access “Save The Queen” content can still earn the same reward by locating and solving a Mystery Map. Characters at level 36 or higher can tackle these maps. Gatherers might stumble upon them randomly, while they can also be bought from the in-game Market Board for differing amounts of Gil.
Since the beginning of 2025, this is the second significant mistake Final Fantasy 14 players have come across. During Patch 7.16, there was a mishap in the translation of the role quest finale’s dialogue which resulted in some lines appearing in Japanese instead of English. Interestingly, this error did not appear in the French or German translations and was rectified within a few days through an update.
Players of Final Fantasy 14 have until 6:00 AM Eastern on Monday, March 24th to finish any uncompleted Moogle Treasure Trove tasks. From that moment, the game’s servers will enter a 24-hour maintenance phase in preparation for the eagerly anticipated Seekers of Eternity update.
