Starting from April 9th, I’ll be diving back into the world of Final Fantasy 14 for their annual Hatching-Tide celebration! This event is packed with Easter-themed activities and eye-catching sights that every player can enjoy. This year, participating in Hatching-Tide will earn me the Archon Egg Parasol, a stylish accessory I can summon and flaunt in towns and cities for some added flair!

The Hatching-Tide event in Final Fantasy 14 will commence mere two weeks following the release of Patch 7.2, titled Seekers of Eternity. This update introduced fresh main story quests, another round of Arcadion raid battles, and enhanced user-friendly features for players to enjoy. A new “Jog” feature enables users to maintain a certain pace after activating Sprint within sanctuaries and urban areas, while also allowing them to summon their mounts while in motion. Additionally, Patch 7.2 adjusted Job balances, with the Black Mage and Pictomancer undergoing more modifications compared to other professions.

Starting from early April, fans of Final Fantasy 14 can look forward to a delightful and brief event called the Hatching-Tide. As announced by Square Enix, this event will kick off on April 9th and end on the 24th, offering players around two weeks to partake in the fun. The artwork for this year’s Hatching-Tide showcases characters from A Realm Reborn – Yda and Paplymo – similar to how Thancred was highlighted during Little Ladies’ Day. While the 2024 version of Hatching-Tide coincided with the Little Ladies’ Day event, the two celebrations have been separated once more in 2025.

This year’s Hatching-Tide celebration will be held in Gridania’s forest city, specifically at Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre. Players of “Final Fantasy 14” who are level 15 or above can take on Jihli Aliapoh’s quest titled “In Pursuit of Eggcelence”. Since your Free Trial account allows you to reach level 15, it means that you too can join in the fun. The event will feature a brief yet endearing narrative alongside an egg-themed adventure, much like other holiday quests.

Once you finish the quests related to Hatching-Tide, players will receive the Archon Egg Parasol, a stylish item that can be brought out in cities as an ornament. Just like mounts and minions, fashion accessories are considered collectibles, with new ones being added in each update. Items won from past Hatching-Tide events, such as the Peatie mount, can be bought on the Final Fantasy 14 Online Store. During the holiday season, there might be special limited-time discounts available.

The event known as Hatching-Tide is set to end only two days following the deployment of Update 7.21, which introduces the eagerly anticipated Cosmic Exploration aspect to Final Fantasy XIV. It’s yet unknown what surprises lie in store for players of Final Fantasy XIV this spring.
