Fields of Mistria: Shooting Star Festival Guide

Fields of Mistria: Shooting Star Festival Guide

As someone who’s spent countless hours exploring the magical world of Mistria, I must say, the Shooting Star Festival is one of my absolute favorites! The town transforms into a twinkling wonderland that’s as enchanting as the stars themselves.

In simple terms, “Fields of Mistria” is an inviting farm simulation game offering multiple romance possibilities and calendar events. As part of developer NPC Studio’s early access plan, the first significant update for “Fields of Mistria” introduces several new features to the game, such as the “Shooting Star Festival”. This event not only deepens the town’s folklore but also gives players a chance to go on a romantic outing with an NPC character under a starlit sky.

If you’re interested in courting one of the bachelors or bachelorettes from ‘Fields of Mistria’, the Shooting Star Festival offers a wonderful opportunity for bonding and perhaps even intertwining your fates. However, if romance isn’t your focus or you haven’t delved deeply into the characters of ‘Fields of Mistria’, there are various ways to enjoy this event. If you’re unsure about how to participate or what activities to engage in during the festival, this Shooting Star Festival guide will help steer you towards the right path.

How To Start The Shooting Star Festival

In the game “Fields of Mistria,” the annual Shooting Star Festival occurs on the 28th day of summer. To experience this event, ensure your character is at this point in the year and step outside your house on the festival day. This action will initiate a scene with Elsie, who explains the celebration and asks if you’d like to invite someone to join you in watching the stars. You have two options for responding to her query.

  • Yes! Please tell me more!
  • I would prefer to watch them alone.

If you choose to invite someone, Elsie will tell you about the Star Brooch, which you’ll need to bring along a date to the festival and meet them from 8 pm onwards that day. If you choose the second option, Elsie will tell you to head to Fields of Mistria‘s Summit from 8 pm onwards for the event. You’ll still get the Brooch, but she won’t tell you more about it.

After chatting with Elsie, the Shooting Star Festival quest materializes in your journal, and you’ll find a letter from Josephine in your inbox containing three unique recipes for the Shooting Star Festival. You can try these out if you prefer.

  • Star Cushion
  • Star Lantern
  • Star Viewing Blanket

If you’ve played Fields of Mistria for some time and have passed summer already, you could either reload a previous save file to Day 28 or restart the season.

How To Invite A Date To The Shooting Star Festival In Fields of Mistria

To enjoy a charming romantic moment during the Shooting Star Festival with your preferred character, you should have a strong connection with them, ideally four or more “hearts” in your relationship status. You can check this by looking at your journal and seeing how many hearts each character has. To invite someone to the Shooting Star Festival, simply approach them while wearing the Star Broach and press the ‘G’ button to propose a date. Once you have four hearts or more with that specific character, they will accept your invitation. The festival takes place between 8 pm and you can meet your date at the Summit location on the map, where a special cutscene will occur.

If your heart count isn’t sufficient, the NPC will reject your invitation. Also, if you lack enough hearts with any of the romanceable characters in ‘Fields of Mistria’, you won’t have a date because it requires familiarity. However, there’s a backup plan available.

In the game ‘Fields of Mistria’, to access the Summit, you must finish the main story quest called the Beautification Project first. Remember, attending the Shooting Star Festival will conclude your day, so make certain you’ve accomplished all your objectives prior to heading to the festival.

How To Attend The Shooting Star Festival Alone In Fields Of Mistria

If you’re low on affection points or prefer solitude over romance, another option for you is to go to the Shooting Star Festival by yourself. If you inform Elsie that you want to attend the Shooting Star Festival solo, all you need to do is head up to the Summit after 8 pm, and a scene will play out where you’re admiring the stars on your own. You can even participate in the festival alone, regardless of who you initially planned to bring along.

Going solo to the festival means you’ll only witness a brief display of the meteor shower and receive a suggestion to go home. A more enriching experience might be had if you bring a companion along, like going on a date.

On Mistria’s Shooting Star Festival day, you’ll find the town adorned with numerous star-themed decorations, such as star-gazing blankets. During this day, feel free to carry on with your regular activities and missions if you prefer. However, prior to the festival commencement, there are additional activities you can engage in to get into the spirit of the event. Interact with villagers celebrating nearby the town square before venturing to the Summit, either alone or accompanied, as depicted above.
