As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent plowing fields and slaying dragons in various RPGs, I must admit that Fields of Mistria has captured my heart (and my farm) with its charming take on old-school farming sims. The Request for Trail Mix quest was a delightful introduction to the game’s mechanics, and it took me back to my humble beginnings in Stardew Valley.
In the world of Fields of Mistria, players will encounter a traditional approach to farming role-playing games, complete with a bustling town center where a task board awaits. This board brims with errands from the townsfolk, keeping you occupied as you earn Tesserae (the game’s currency) and build your reputation, known as Renown.
At the beginning of the game, you’ll encounter a quest called “Josephine’s Request for Trail Mix”. Here’s a guide on how to finish it.
Request for Trail Mix Quest Guide
- Quest Details: I like to keep plenty of Trail Mix on hand for the kids, but they sure eat a lot of it! Can someone mix some more up for me? You’ll need Wild Berries and Water Chestnuts from the Narrows to make it! Feel free to use the kitchen at the inn.
- Objectives: Bring three portions of Trail Mix to Josephine.
- Rewards: 100 Tesserae
How to Get Water Chestnuts and Wild Berries
To collect Water Chestnuts in the mystical landscape of Mistria, simply make your way towards the region known as The Narrows, which lies to the west of the primary settlement.
In the lower part of this area, a river flows, and during the appropriate season, you’ll find chestnuts floating amidst the grass within the river itself. Just like with other items, you can collect these chestnuts directly from the water.
In summary, Wild Berries can be found abundantly in shrubs across The Narrows as well as within the town itself. Feel free to gather them without worry. To manage your inventory, reserve a slot in your hotbar and remember to declutter it occasionally. If necessary, you can store extra items at your residence for safekeeping.
How to Make the Trail Mix
After collecting six Water Chestnuts and three types of Wild Berries, you may proceed to the Mistria Inn and communicate with the kitchen staff at the rear. Navigate to the ‘Snack’ options in their menu, where you can then prepare three Trail Mixes using your foraged ingredients.
Look on the map to find where Josephine is hanging out, and she’ll reward you with 100 Tesserae.
