FIFA Partners With Konami For The FIFAe World Cup

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say, the FIFAe World Cup 2024 is shaping up to be an exciting event! The inclusion of Konami’s eFootball in the competition is certainly a fresh change from EA’s FIFA series that has dominated the scene for so long.

The FIFA World Cup 2024 is rapidly approaching, and it appears that FIFA plans to include Konami’s eFootball in this major tournament.

As a passionate gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! According to VGC, the FIFAe World Cup 2024 will host not one but two eFootball competitions. For console gamers, there’s a 2v2 competition in store, while mobile gamers can participate in a captivating 1v1 category. Players from an impressive 18 countries worldwide will be taking part in this global event. If you think you’ve got what it takes, the qualifiers have started today! For more details, head over to Konami’s official website.

The FIFA Electronic World Cup is an esports tournament run by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association). Until 2023, games from Electronic Arts’ FIFA series were the highlight of this competition. But FIFA and EA ended their partnership last year, so Konami’s eFootball will replace EA at the 2024 FIFAe World Cup.

It’s possible that Konami might no longer be involved in the FIFAe World Cup, as FIFA plans to create its own football simulation game. In fact, FIFA’s President, Gianni Infantino, has mentioned they are working with new partners to develop a fresh ‘e-game’ under the FIFA brand. Take-Two Interactive’s 2K Sports could be among the top contenders for this collaboration.
