As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the return of the Moonfire Faire event in Final Fantasy 14 is a delightful treat for us old-timers. The excitement surrounding this annual event never seems to wane, and it’s always a pleasure to see Square Enix continue to support their games with such dedication.

The popular game, Final Fantasy 14, has officially announced the comeback of its annual event known as the Moonfire Faire. This event marks the beginning of the new Dawntrail expansion, which was launched on July 2nd. Participants in the Moonfire Faire within Final Fantasy 14 will be rewarded with a fresh “Uchiwasshoi” emote and a decorative item themed around bombs for their in-game homes.

News about the Moonfire Faire’s comeback surfaced following the release of Patch 7.05 for Final Fantasy 14. This update brought in new content, such as the Cenote Ja Ja Gural treasure dungeon, the first Savage raid tier for Arcadion, and adjustments to all jobs. Major job modifications included revising the Viper’s main attack sequence, additional tweaks to the Black Mage based on player input, and power boosts for the Paladin, Machinist, and Red Mage. The Samurai experienced changes to its core rotation but also received an update to its Tsubame-gaeshi skill, making it more frequently used to counterbalance the nerfs.

Starting Thursday, August 8 at 4:00 AM Eastern, “Final Fantasy 14” has announced its first event for Dawntrail, named Moonfire Faire. This exciting event will run until Monday, August 26 at 10:59 AM Eastern. To participate, players must be at least level 30 and interact with an NPC named Mayaru Moyaru in Limsa Lominsa’s Upper Decks. Once the quest “Fire Red, Beast Green” is accepted, players will be directed to Costa del Sol in Eastern La Noscea, where they may encounter the traditional Eorzean Nimble Warrior obstacle course for a chance to show off their jumping abilities.

Final Fantasy 14 Announces 2024 Moonfire Faire Event

  • The annual Moonfire Faire will run from August 8 to 26.
  • Players at level 30 or higher can participate via the quest “Fire Red, Beast Green” in Limsa Lominsa.
  • New rewards include the “Uchiwasshoi” emote and the Bouncing Bomb Balloon housing item.

As a devoted gamer of Final Fantasy 14, if I successfully complete the Moonfire Faire quests in 2024, I’ll be rewarded with an exciting new emote called “Uchiwasshoi”. This emote allows my character to wave around a fan adorned with a humorous Namazu face. Additionally, I can secure a Bouncing Bomb Balloon indoor decoration, which can be conveniently placed on any table within my in-game house or apartment. Both these items will be accessible throughout the Moonfire Faire until they disappear and reappear next year. Previous Moonfire Faire items, like the Phoenix Riser attire, will go on sale at the Final Fantasy 14 Online Store as soon as the event commences.

For those aiming to accumulate Moonfire Faire items at a reduced cost, another chance is coming up. The return of the Moonfire Faire, along with planned events at Gamescom and PAX West, means that Final Fantasy 14 players have much to anticipate throughout August.
