As a dedicated fan, I’ve noticed that many of you have been curious about the intricate details behind my cosplay. It seems some of you initially mistook it for an in-game screenshot or fanart! Well, let me clarify – I utilized a 3D-rendered backdrop crafted using Blender for this stunning image.
My favorite part of the cosplay, however, has to be the gunblade. As a die-hard fan of Final Fantasy 8, where this iconic weapon first appeared, I took it upon myself to create the prop by 3D printing and painstakingly finishing it to perfection.
In case you didn’t know, I also attended the last Final Fantasy 14 Fanfest in Las Vegas, showcasing a different set of gear from the game. Although I didn’t mention it explicitly, fellow fans attending the upcoming FF14 Fanfest may want to keep a keen eye out – there’s a possibility that I might reappear in this incredible cosplay!
Currently, fans are curious about Thancred’s part in upcoming Final Fantasy 14 content, as the Dawntrail expansion divided the Scions of the Seventh Dawn into different factions. This separation kept Thancred absent for a considerable time during the expansion.
