Final Fantasy 14 Introduces Patisserie Dungeon Inspired By Overcooked

For about two weeks, players can try a special, temporary dungeon inspired by the chaotic cooking game, . This dungeon is part of the game’s yearly Valentione’s Day celebration, and players can earn unique cosmetic items while participating.

Square Enix recently added a new dungeon to its popular online game, Final Fantasy 14, during a particularly active period for players. On January 27th, Update 7.41 went live, continuing the stories in the Cosmic Exploration and Phantom Weapons questlines. The latest Cosmic Exploration chapter sends players to Oizys, a planet featuring old ruins and unusual gravity. Players can also now enhance their powerful relics to item level 775 by completing the new Phantom Weapon quests, though it requires a significant time commitment. The update also included unexpected improvements to the Summoner class, slightly increasing their damage output.

Final Fantasy 14 Introduces The Patisserie Dungeon

A new event has arrived in Final Fantasy 14 with Patch 7.41! The annual Valentione’s Day celebration is now live in Gridania’s Mih Khetto’s Amphitheater. This year’s event features a unique dungeon called the Patisserie, inspired by games like Overcooked, where players work together to bake Valentione’s Day cakes. You can play with up to three friends, tackle it alone, or use the game’s matchmaking to team up with other players. The event runs until February 16th at 9:59 AM Eastern time. Just queue up for the Patisserie while the Valentione’s Day event is active!

In Final Fantasy 14, the Patisserie is a timed challenge where players have 10 minutes to bake as many Valentione’s Day cakes as possible. Ingredients are scattered around the area, but players must also avoid or disable malfunctioning robots called mammets that will try to freeze them – a special whistle can temporarily stop the robots. Players earn Valentione’s Chocolates – a special in-game currency – based on how many cakes they finish before time runs out.

Once players finish the dungeon and complete the seasonal quest “The Icing on the Cake” in Final Fantasy 14, they can trade Valentione’s Chocolates for cosmetic goodies. This year’s rewards include the new Comfy and Cozy Valentione’s Day outfits, three Orchestrion Rolls featuring music from the Patisserie, and decorations to spruce up player houses. Collecting all the new items requires 71 Valentione’s Chocolates. Players can also purchase last year’s Valentione’s Day items, like the Bouquet emote, with real money on the FF14 Online Store.

New and Returning Final Fantasy 14 Players Can Also Have Their Cake

Valentione’s Day is happening at a perfect time for both new and returning players of Final Fantasy 14. Because the event only requires players to be level 15 and have completed the Sastasha dungeon, those playing the game’s free trial can join in the fun while it’s available. Plus, it coincides with the current Free Login Campaign! Even though the campaign ends on February 9th, players with inactive subscriptions can return to the world of Eorzea with up to 96 free hours to enjoy Valentione’s Day.

This year’s Valentione’s Day in Final Fantasy 14 offers glamour items, giving players new ways to customize their characters during the event. It’s currently unknown if future seasonal events will include activities similar to the recent Patisserie dungeon.
