A standout addition was the Strategy Board, which allows players to prepare their plans for defeating tough bosses before the battle even begins.

What’s really impressive is that this chess game isn’t just for show – players can actually move the pieces and play a full game with others in their party, all inside Final Fantasy 14.

Players have been using the in-game Strategy Board in incredibly creative ways! Some have recreated real-life moments, popular memes, or even famous creatures from Final Fantasy. The Potential Dangers of the Final Fantasy 14 Strategy Board

Look, I get that letting us share these Strategy Boards is awesome, but I’m a little worried about people abusing it. I’m sure some folks will try to make inappropriate pictures or send really nasty messages to other players, or even the developers themselves. That’s always a risk online, but this new feature gives them another way to do it. I’m really hoping Square Enix can crack down on those players without ruining the fun everyone else is having with the boards. It’d be a shame if they had to limit things because of a few bad apples.

While most of the content from Final Fantasy 14’s Patch 7.4 is already available, there are still a few things players need to wait for. The challenging Arcadion Heavyweight Tier (Savage) raid will unlock on January 6th, giving fans time to finish the regular version first.
