In addition to story content, Patch 7.1 will also be the first of two major tuning updates for PVP activities, and will give the long-neglected Hall of the Novice a new, intermediate challenge that will teach Final Fantasy 14 players about certain markers, such as stacking signals and tankbuster indicators.

Beyond sharing updates on additional storylines and user-friendly enhancements in future updates for Final Fantasy 14, Yoshida provided sneak peeks into several upcoming features during his Seoul keynote. On December 3, the Korean version of Final Fantasy 14 will receive Dawntrail, showcasing some of its main components. Yoshida also expressed his desire for the Korean version and global client to be updated simultaneously. As he delved into the features planned for the Dawntrail patch cycle, Yoshida unveiled never-before-seen screenshots, including a hint at the Echoes of Vana’diel alliance raid series starting in Patch 7.1. This series will feature a well-known monster from Final Fantasy 11 called Fafnir, although it remains undisclosed if this formidable creature is intended as a boss or not.
