Final Fantasy 14 Reveals Preliminary 7.3 Update Patch Notes

Beginning on August 5, the MMORPG “Final Fantasy 14” is set to release Patch 7.3, titled “The Promise of Tomorrow.” According to the preliminary notes for this update, the final act of the “Dawntrail” expansion will unfold over a series of ten quests. Additionally, players can expect various aesthetic enhancements to become available starting from next week.

In the upcoming 7.3 update for Final Fantasy 14, the Dawntrail expansion story will reach its conclusion, providing players with hints about future developments. During the 88th Letter From the Producer LIVE broadcast, the game’s producer and director Naoki Yoshida revealed that the main features of Patch 7.3 would be distributed across multiple updates, with the first one offering the most significant content. The August 5 content update will also introduce the second alliance raid in the Echoes of Vana’diel series, called San d’Oria: The Second Walk, a new Crystalline Conflict PvP map, and the Vault Oneiron treasure dungeon.

As for now, specifics about the central narrative of Patch 7.3 are still under wraps. However, on August 5, Final Fantasy 14 has given us a substantial preview of what’s to come. Based on the Lodestone announcement, the main story of 7.3 will unfold in Solution Nine, commencing with the quest “Targeted Tragedy” and continuing for nine more quests. Players eager to participate in the San d’Oria alliance raid should converse with a Landsguard Messenger in Tuliyollal upon completing Jeuno: The First Walk, to undertake the quest “Dreams of Paradise.

In Patch 7.3, you’ll have more options to customize your character with additional elements such as hairstyles and glamour accessories. These can be obtained through different means, including the Manderville Gold Saucer and the newly introduced Vault Oneiron treasure dungeon. Moreover, a variety of headgear items suitable for Viera and Hrothgar characters will be accessible in this update for the first time.

In the upcoming patch 7.3 for Final Fantasy 14, I, as a gamer, am excited about the revamped textures on several weapons and armor pieces from expansions like Stormblood and Endwalker. My character model will also undergo some changes as part of Dawntrail’s ongoing visual enhancements. Plus, there’s a free Fantasia potion coming to Old Gridania, and if I haven’t claimed the one from Patch 7.2 yet, I have until server maintenance on Monday, August 4, at 9:00 PM Eastern. And here’s some good news for those who missed the last free Fantasia – you can stack them! So, get ready to customize your character with the new updates from Patch 7.2 and 7.3.

Players of Final Fantasy 14 who are eagerly anticipating job balance adjustments will have to hold their horses a bit longer, as these changes will be unveiled in the comprehensive patch notes scheduled for August 4 during server maintenance. We’ll just have to see how players react to Patch 7.3 when it arrives.
