After the discussions about the altered battle system in Final Fantasy 16 subsided, many found pleasure in it. However, despite generally favorable reviews, the game didn’t achieve Square Enix’s sales targets. Following a timed exclusivity agreement on the PlayStation 5, the game was also released for PC, providing more customization options and support for mods. These features could potentially make the game last longer than Square Enix initially anticipated.
