The director of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy has hinted that after the third game, they might release either downloadable content or a completely new game.
We’ll find out more about Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s Part 3 later, but development is going smoothly and there’s already a significant amount of the game playable. The team is even starting to plan what comes after Part 3, potentially including a new expansion or even a fourth game in the series.
There’s a Possibility of a Fourth Game for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Series
In a recent interview with WccfTech, Naoki Hamaguchi, director of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy, discussed potential DLC for Rebirth. He explained that while they initially considered adding downloadable content, they decided to focus on delivering the third game in the series as quickly as possible, believing that’s what fans would prefer. This means the next installment is their top priority.
Hamaguchi hinted that even after the third game launches, they might add more content through downloadable content (DLC). As this trilogy concludes the story of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the director believes it will attract a larger audience to the Final Fantasy series overall. Because of this, the development team is seriously thinking about whether to create additional DLC or even a completely new game.
