The popular online role-playing game, Final Fantasy 14, is releasing a line of collectible Nendoroid figures – a first for the franchise. The figures will feature designs based on beloved characters from Final Fantasy 14, as well as two classic characters from the original Final Fantasy game.
Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy 14, in particular, have had no shortage of merchandise released in recent years. This is likely to ramp up further with the arrival of the Final Fantasy 14 Fanfests for 2026, which are to be held in three different locations over the course of the year, ushering in the future of Final Fantasy 14 and its next expansion pack with all that it entails.
Final Fantasy Is Getting Its First Nendoroids
Now, it’s been revealed that Square Enix and Good Smile are teaming up to produce five different Final Fantasy Nendoroid designs. The designs include Final Fantasy 14 Scions Y’shtola Rhul and G’raha Tia, as well as Azure Dragoon Estinien. All three are pictured in their most recent outfits in the game, and will include their signature weapons, as well. At this time, the designs for the Final Fantasy 14 Nendoroids haven’t been finalized, with only placeholder images shared. As the image shows, fans should expect a “chibi”-style figure, as Nendoroids almost always have miniaturized proportions with larger heads, similar to Funko Pop or Figuarts Mini. Nendoroid figures generally have a few posable joints and additional pieces that can be swapped in to change the character’s facial expression, what they’re holding, and so on. However, any potential extras haven’t been revealed yet.
The original Final Fantasy is also getting two Nendoroid figures, and they’re expected to be released before the figures based on the MMORPG. These include the Warrior of Light, shown with their sword in two different stances, and the beloved Chocobo, which will come in three poses: standing calmly, with wings raised and feet apart, and mid-step while waving.
Right now, pre-orders for the Warrior of Light figure will open in March 2026. The Chocobo figure is expected to follow soon after, as the prototype is already finished. However, figures based on characters from Final Fantasy 14 are likely further off. We don’t have any details on pricing or release dates yet, but Nendoroid figures usually cost under $100.
Final Fantasy Fans Are Enthusiastic About Nendoroids
So far, the community seems to be very excited about the new Nendoroid announcement, particularly among Final Fantasy 14 players. Numerous fans have said they’re waiting for the first moment they can put money down to pre-order the trio, while others are holding onto hope that the remaining Scions and other important characters may get the same treatment down the line. Some popular requests include that of fellow Scion Thancred, and some of the game’s biggest villains, namely those featured in Final Fantasy 14 expansions Stormblood and Shadowbringers.
Fans of Final Fantasy are thrilled that characters from the series are now getting Nendoroid figures! While there have been Final Fantasy figures before, Nendoroids and Figmas from Good Smile Company are especially loved by collectors because they’re detailed, poseable, and accurately capture a character’s look. Whether we’ll see more Final Fantasy Nendoroids and Figmas in the future depends on how well these first ones sell, but it’s a promising sign for fans.
