Today, Square Enix has unveiled that the highly anticipated action RPG, Final Fantasy XVI, will be available on Steam and Epic Games Store starting September 17. Previously, we assessed Final Fantasy XVI and expressed that the game is massive and bold in scope, seldom stumbling. Its narrative is captivating and humorous, featuring a host of intriguing characters to connect with and ultimately care for deeply. Clive is an outstanding lead character, and his companions gradually grow into individuals you feel compelled to safeguard with every fiber of your existence. The combat system offers multiple layers, ensuring there’s always something new to discover that helps in the fight against the sinister forces lurking in the shadows. Although some battles may become cluttered due to numerous moving components and occasionally awkward camera angles, there isn’t much negative criticism I can offer. Square Enix has truly excelled themselves, creating one of the most substantial Final Fantasy titles ever produced. And yes, that praise extends to FFVII as well.
