Fire Emblem Heroes: Should You Pull for Azura and Ginnungagap

Fire Emblem Heroes: Should You Pull for Azura and Ginnungagap

As a long-time Fire Emblem player with over a decade of experience under my belt, I have seen countless banners come and go. Some were truly worth the investment, while others left us feeling short-changed. With this latest banner featuring Ginnungagap and her companions, I must admit that my initial reaction was one of disappointment.

In Fire Emblem Heroes, there’s an ongoing banner named Ashera Banner where you can find eight hero characters of legendary and mythic status that players may be drawn to.

Interested players may seek clarification on which character in the banner is most worth using their orbs on, and whether investing in this banner is a good idea or if they should pass. Here, you’ll find the answers to these questions.

Legendary & Mythic Hero Remix: Ashera Banner Overview

Fire Emblem Heroes: Should You Pull for Azura and Ginnungagap

The Legendary & Mythic Hero Remix: Ashera Banner will run from 11/7/2024 and 24/7/2024.

Based on my extensive experience in the world of mobile gaming, I can tell you that the initial appearance rates for the main characters in this game are set at 6%. This means that approximately every fifteen pulls or so, you’ll get one of these featured heroes. Now, let me tell you, I’ve played enough gacha games to know how frustrating it can be when you’re trying to collect a specific character and the odds aren’t in your favor. But trust me, the wait is worth it. These heroes are powerful additions to your team and will help you progress through the game.

The majority of this banner’s design will showcase exclusive characters from Fire Emblem Heroes, rather than heroes recognized by players from other sources.

For the initial summon during this banner, the cost is waived for players. After performing 40 summons, as a reward, they will have the opportunity to select a complimentary 5-star focus hero, accompanied by the acquisition of a celestial stone.

Characters Featured in Legendary & Mythic Hero Remix: Ashera Banner

Ashera serves as the emblematic character for the Legendary & Mythic Hero Remix, named Ashera. She comes equipped with fresh abilities such as B Skill: Lull Speed/Resistance 4 and C Skill: Order’s Restraint+. Additionally, players have the option to refine her weapon, Order’s Sentence.

Ashera – Order Goddess “Has the will to destroy imperfections. Supports nearby allies and increases her power based on ally bonuses!”
Mirabilis – Daydream “Grants bonuses and inflicts penalties on a wide area. Refine her weapon to block foe counters too!”
Reginn- Bearing Hope “Her Special can trigger on turns 1 and 4! After combat, weakens a group of foes and inflicts them with Panic!”
Seiros – Saint of Legend “She can empower allies across a wide area, heavily obstruct foe Specials, and reduce damage dealt to herself.”
Azura – Vallite Songstress “Sings to give an ally another action and increased stats. Grants infantry and fliers movement and Null Panic!”
Triandra – Nightmare “Her nightmares can weaken distant foes, and she can slow foe Specials! Can grant allies additional actions too.”
Freyja- Lady of Nightmares “Transforms freely and can greatly reduce damage taken. When not near allies, she’s even stronger!”
Ginnungagap – Ruler of Nihility “Gains power from imposing penalties, inflicts a counter-blocking effect, and ends foes with guaranteed follow-ups!”

Best Characters in Legendary & Mythic Hero Remix: Ashera Banner

Among the characters, two are particularly noteworthy when considering who to use for pulling the banner.

Azura, Vallite Songstress

Fire Emblem Heroes: Should You Pull for Azura and Ginnungagap

I’m absolutely in love with Azura from Fire Emblem’s Fates game. Right now, you can get your hands on her Vallite Songstress alt, and trust me, it’s well worth the effort to summon her. She might not make another appearance on a banner for some time after this one ends, so don’t miss your chance! To bring Azura into your team, though, you’ll need to collect blue orbs – the same ones that Seiros uses.

Here are her stats at level 40 and the skills she comes with:

HP 33
ATTACK 44
SPEED 38
DEFENSE 17
RESISTANCE 24
Gray Waves II Grants another action to the target ally, and if target is an infantry or flying ally, grants (Null Panic) to target, and target can move 1 extra space. (That turn only. Does not stack. Cannot target an ally with Sing or Dance. This skill is treated as Sing or Dance.) (Null Panic) If unit is inflicted with Panic (bonuses converted into penalties), neutralizes the “converts bonuses on target into penalties” effect for 1 turn. (Even though the effect is neutralized, the Panic status remains, and is treated as a Penalty status.)
Atk/Spd Push 4 At the start of combat, if unit’s HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd+7, but after combat, if unit attacked, deals 5 damage to unit.
Aerobatics 3 Unit can move to a space adjacent to any infantry, armored, or cavalry ally within 2 spaces.
Atk Tactic 3 At start of turn, grants Atk+6 to allies within 2 spaces for 1 turn. Granted only if number of that ally’s movement type on current team 2 ≥.

Another aspect of Azura’s abilities is enhancing the health and resistance of allies during water seasons in Fire Emblem Heroes. In essence, she excels as a supportive character and is a valuable choice for players during this banner.

Ginnungagap, Ruler of Nihility

Fire Emblem Heroes: Should You Pull for Azura and Ginnungagap

Ginnungagap is a character unique to Fire Emblem Heroes and does not appear in any previous Fire Emblem games. Ginnungagap rules nothingness and is one of the more unique Fire Emblem Heroes characters. On top of that, she is a pretty good unit that is worth pulling. Here are her stats at level 40 and the skills that she comes with:

HP 45
ATTACK 61
SPEED 31
DEFENSE 30
RESISTANCE 32
Lethality When Special triggers, treats foe’s Def/Res as if reduced by 75% during combat. Disables non-Special skills that “reduce damage by X%.”
Fireflood Boost 3 Grants HP+5. At the start of combat, if unit’s HP ≥ 50%, grants Atk/Res+7 to the unit during combat, and also, if unit is within 2 spaces of an ally with HP ≥ 50%, inflicts Special cooldown charge -1 on foe per attack during combat (only highest value applied; does not stack).
Ruler of Nihility At the start of turn, inflicts Atk/Def-7, (Discord), and status preventing counterattacks on nearest foes within 5 spaces of unit and foes within 2 spaces of those foes through their next actions. At the start of combat, if foe’s HP ≥ 75% or (Penalty) is active on foe, inflicts Atk/Def-5 on foe during combat, and also, if the unit’s attack can trigger the unit’s Special, grants Special cooldown count-1 to the unit before unit’s first attack during combat. (Discord) Inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res-X on the unit during combat (X = 2 + number of rallies within 2 spaces of unit; max 5) through its next action. (Penalty) All effects that last “on foe through its next action.” Includes penalties inflicted by a skill like Panic or Threaten and negative status effects (preventing counterattacks, restricting movement, or the effects of a skill like Triangle Adept or Guard).
Fatal Smoke 4 Foe cannot recover HP during or after combat. Neutralizes foe’s non-Special “if foe would reduce unit’s HP to 0, unit survives with 1 HP” effects during combat. After combat, inflicts (Deep Wounds) and a penalty that neutralizes non-Special “if foe would reduce unit’s HP to 0, unit survives with 1 HP” effects on target and foes within 2 spaces of target through their next actions. (Deep Wounds) Unit’s HP cannot be healed through its next action.

In addition, Ginnungagap is an exceptional addition due to her role as a re-armed hero. This feature enables her to stay in the player’s roster after skill inheritance and prevents her from being eliminated. By inheriting a rare skill through her, players can easily share this ability with other heroes by merging Ginnungagap. The re-armed hero status allows for multiple uses, making it a valuable asset.

Should You Pull or Skip this Banner?

In summary, most players might want to pass on this banner despite its intriguing characters. The headlining heroes may not be the most effective choices for the majority of players. However, there could be exceptions for those seeking a specific hero for merging or those who want to obtain a character that may not return soon.
