First 13 Minutes of 007: First Light Releases

Okay, so IO Interactive just dropped the first 13 minutes of gameplay for their new 007 game, 007: First Light, and it looks awesome! It really sets the scene for the story and shows you how the game starts – it’s super chaotic, but there’s a lot of focus on stealth as you play as a younger James Bond. I’m already hooked!

The latest James Bond game offers players a chance to experience a much younger version of the famous spy than they’re used to seeing in films. Called 007: First Light, the game tells the story of Bond early in his career, shortly after joining MI6, and shows how he earned his 00 status. This is also a significant return for the James Bond franchise to the world of video games, as it’s the first completely new game since 007 Legends in 2012. Just before its launch, the developers, IO Interactive, have released a preview of the game’s opening sequence.

007: First Light Video Shows First 13 Minutes

I just watched the first thirteen minutes of the new 007 game, 007: First Light, and it looks amazing! IO Interactive put the gameplay footage on their YouTube channel. It starts with Bond and a team heading out to check on a strange heat signal, but things quickly go wrong when their helicopter is shot down. You wake up on a wrecked island and have to explore, find your teammates, and then sneak into an enemy base. I’m so hyped – the game is coming out on May 27th, but if you pre-order, you can start playing a day early!
