First Black Ops 6 Tournaments Surface With $100,000 Prize Pool

As a seasoned Call of Duty gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia and exhilaration upon hearing about ZooMaa’s ‘The Flank’ tournaments. The competitive scene has always been the heart and soul of this game for me, even when Activision isn’t directly involved.

In Black Ops 6, the competitive mode for Call of Duty is starting earlier than usual, however, it’s important to note that this early start isn’t supported by Activision.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m pumped about ZooMaa’s ‘The Flank’ unveiling a three-part tournament series from October 29 to November 6. With a whopping $100,000 prize pool at stake, it promises to be an adrenaline-fueled CDL AR & SMG spree. This event brings together 12 teams, each comprising four players, and interestingly, it’s happening before the official announcement of the 2025 CDL season!

Into Our Own Hands

As soon as Black Ops 6 hit the shelves, competitive gamers began searching for opportunities to excel. Betting schemes multiplied, eight-dollar bets flooded social platforms, and grassroots tournament organizers arranged events across various locations.

This tourney for Black Ops 6 is undeniably the largest we’ve seen so far, and it’s happening just a few short days following its release.

The Flank has revealed the following schedule:

October 29 – $25,000 tournament
November 1 – $25,000 tournament
November 5/6 – $50,000 tournament

Tonight’s episode of The Flank will see the teams being selected on the spot, and it’s anticipated that the majority of those chosen will be Call of Duty League (CDL) and Challengers players, with a few Warzone competitors added for extra challenge.

It’s quite thrilling for a Call of Duty enthusiast right now! Unofficial events during the off-season and pre-season, such as those organized by OpTic and The Flank, are often more captivating than the official CDL events. But remember, I wouldn’t want Activision to know that from me.
