As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must say that my experience with The First Descendant has been a rollercoaster ride so far. The game initially caught my attention due to its intriguing premise and visually appealing graphics. However, I find myself at odds with the design of the Hatchery, which seems more like a maze than an arena for battle.

Players expressing dissatisfaction with the placement of The Hatchery location in The First Descendant game due to the complexities in its map design. Upon completing the main quest titled “Sensitive Information,” players will then venture towards The Hatchery, gaining entry to White-night Gulch’s penultimate and concluding Battlefield for the first time.

The First Descendant underwent numerous improvements following its release during the game’s pre-season, which commenced on July 2. To this point, the development team has primarily concentrated on resolving issues and addressing player input through these enhancements. The latest update for The First Descendant, version 1.0.6, brought about several corrections for the Descendant characters, the pre-season Battle Pass, and various missions within the game. As we approach Season 1 later this month, additional updates are anticipated, providing players with ample opportunity to voice their feedback on the events of the pre-season.

The First Descendant Players Aren’t Happy With the Convoluted Map Design of the Hatchery

The Hatchery Void Reactor boss, known as the Alternate Hand of Vrignid, is another point of contention in The First Descendant’s community. Many believe the Alternate Hand of Vrignid is an unnecessary bullet sponge during this particular stage of the game and proves to be very difficult to clear as a solo player. When paired with the area’s map design, it appears that the Hatchery is one of the least favorite sections of the game for a notable portion of the player base.

It seems unlikely that the layout of the Hatchery will be altered, but player input could significantly influence the design of fresh areas slated for inclusion in upcoming updates. As per Nexon’s plan for The First Descendant, the game is set to receive new story missions, weapons, zones, and features during Seasons 1 and 2. The first season is scheduled to start towards the end of August, with the second season commencing in early December to herald the holiday season. Essentially, players of The First Descendant can look forward to a wealth of content to explore before Season 3 rolls out in 2025.
