With the long history and strong reputation of The Legend of Zelda, fans have been eagerly awaiting a movie adaptation. Now, with a lot of anticipation surrounding the project, some first looks at the film have apparently surfaced online.
Fans finally found out in 2023 that a Legend of Zelda movie was in the works. A release date was announced shortly after, but like many films, it faced delays. After a period of uncertainty about the project, rumors began circulating in November 2025 that filming had started. Soon after, some hidden footage appeared online.
The Legend of Zelda Movie Video Leaks Appear Online
The Instagram account josh.and.pine has posted videos claiming to show early glimpses of the set for the upcoming Legend of Zelda movie.
The video footage shows Link, dressed as his iconic character in the green tunic, talking with the film crew. We then see the actress playing Zelda, who is wearing a blue costume that resembles her outfits from the games Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. A horse is also being readied for a scene, and it has a patch with the familiar Zelda logo on its side.

Adding to the excitement, another video from what seems to be the same source has surfaced. This new clip appears to show a scene being filmed, with Zelda glancing around before having a short conversation with another character from Hyrule. The video was shared by tonyolsenfilm and continues the footage from the previous leak.

I’ve seen some people saying the video might be AI-generated, but honestly, it doesn’t really feel like it. Usually with AI videos, you notice glitches, weird backgrounds, or things just don’t quite line up. This footage doesn’t have any of that. Plus, it wouldn’t surprise me if this whole thing is just a clever marketing trick to get people talking about the movie! It’s a great way to build hype through what looks like a ‘leak.’
Based on what we’ve seen, this appears to be the very first look at footage from The Legend of Zelda Movie. The costumes seem well-done, though some fans might not like this version of Zelda. It also seems like filming has probably started!
