King’s Field series and its subsequent games are often considered precursors to Demon’s Souls. But, you should not anticipate a “soulslike” experience while playing King’s Field 4, as it is distinctly different. In this PS2 game, the gameplay perspective is first-person and the combat is slow and weighty.

This game shares characteristics similar to some well-known titles by the same developer. These include a somber ambiance, cryptic narrative, and an energy gauge that restricts frequent attacks.
