Forgotten Warzone Sniper is perfect replacement for nerfed Kar98k

As a dedicated gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of weapon metamorphoses in Warzone. And let me tell you, the recent nerfs to the beloved Kar98k have left a void in many players’ loadouts. But little did we forget about the MCPR-300 Sniper from Modern Warfare 2!

In Season 4 Reloaded, the Kar98k underwent significant adjustments, and despite its ongoing usage by players, an alternate option that’s equally effective may have slipped your mind.

In Warzone, the single-shot MCPR-300 Sniper rifle from Modern Warfare 2 delivers a lethal blow, making it an effective weapon against enemies. To keep pace with the nimble Kar98k, you can customize this sniper to prioritize agility and swiftness in its build.

Equipped with accessories such as the Forge Tac Delta 4 Sight and SL Razorhawk Laser Light, a Sniper’s agility will be enhanced, enabling them to take swift aim at mid-range targets, similar to using a Kar98k rifle.

Using the Sniper in my experience proved more convenient than anticipated, allowing me to move around freely and take aim at medium-range targets. However, I noticed a slight hiccup while aiming down sights with this weapon from Modern Warfare 2. It’s not as refined as some other snipers.

Although the vast expanse presented a challenge in landing the signature long-range hits of the Heavy Sniper, I successfully accomplished this task numerous times by taking my time and focusing on precise headshots.

In a recent video on July 18, well-known Warzone YouTuber and streamer Metaphor emphasized the effectiveness of the MCPR-300 as an alternative to the Kar98k.

He demonstrates numerous videos of himself expertly using the quickscope technique to secure kills at close quarters, similar to the renowned Marksman Rifle.

For effective results when using the MCPR-300, consider equipping a weapon with a shorter range as an alternative for taking down shields promptly. Swapping to an SMG after cracking the shields guarantees swift kills. The Superi 46 works well in this scenario, but the Striker and FJX Horus are also excellent choices.

In Season 5, a new submachine gun named Static-HV is expected to join the game. Consequently, this weapon might dominate Warzone and prove to be an excellent companion for a Sniper rifle after the upcoming update, scheduled for release on July 24th.
