Former Blizzard CCO’s Bonfire Studios’ Game Is Called Arkheron

Rob Pardo, the ex-Chief Creative Officer from Blizzard, is now leading a new game that’s been unveiled. His studio, Bonfire Studios, has disclosed Arkheron, which is a team-oriented player versus player (PvP) game set in a gloomy and ominous realm.

As per the developers’ statement, Arkheron is expected to incorporate established “themes and principles,” yet it aims to offer a completely innovative gaming experience. Specifically, it focuses on delivering an engaging, swift PvP gameplay interaction.

At the core of our approach to development, Pardo stated in a press release, lies a straightforward principle: “If we don’t have affection for our game, neither will our players.” We firmly hold that exceptional games emerge from a sincere love for playing them. Consequently, we’ve invested countless years of passion into creating Arkheron, continually improving and polishing it to produce something genuinely distinctive and thrilling.

For many years now, our team has been regularly engaging in this game on a daily basis. Although we haven’t quite nailed down a perfect description for it yet, we frequently express that one must experience it to truly understand its charm. We’re looking forward to introducing the delightful world of Arkheron to a broader audience shortly, and we eagerly anticipate that players will share our passion for it just as we do.

In the upcoming months, the game is planning to make its private playtests public and expand participation. At the moment, registration is open for North American residents, with additional regions set to follow later this year.
