Doug Bowser and Carla Vernón Join Hasbro’s Board of Directors

Hasbro has added two new members to its board of directors: Doug Bowser, formerly President and COO of Nintendo of America, and Carla Vernón, CEO of The Honest Company. During his time at Nintendo, Bowser played a key role in the company’s American success, leading the launches of both the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 in the Americas. He also spearheaded the opening of the Nintendo San Francisco store and successfully re-established Nintendo’s presence in Brazil, as well as contributing to other growth initiatives.

Carla Vernón played a key role in reshaping The Honest Company’s strategy and finances. Her work helped the company become more efficient, increase profits, and build a foundation for continued success in the future.

Here’s a statement from Rich Stoddart, the Chair of Hasbro’s Board, about Doug and Carla joining the company:

We’re thrilled to welcome Doug and Carla to our Board of Directors. They both have a lot of experience leading well-known consumer brands and managing franchises, and we’re confident their insights will be a huge asset as Hasbro continues to innovate and grow.

The CEO of Hasbro also shared his views on the recent additions:

Doug and Carla are highly experienced leaders known for building strong brands, creating memorable experiences for customers, and fostering innovation in their fields. Their guidance will be essential as we move forward with our ‘Playing To Win’ strategy and continue to provide amazing gaming experiences to players globally.
