Summary
- Both Rollerdrome and OlliOlli World were delisted from Steam following the sale of publisher Private Division.
- They’ve now finally returned to the platform, but under the new publisher name, 2K Games.
- Despite the return, there’s still no official reason behind the few months of delisting.
Recently, two games published by Private Division – Rollerdrome and OlliOlli World – were removed from Steam after the closure of their developing company, Roll7, and the acquisition of Private Division.
Even though Take-Two Interactive, the company that bought Private Division, later stated that the games would reappear on Steam, some people found it surprising that highly popular recent releases would receive this type of handling.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but notice that some long-lost titles from Take-Two have resurfaced on the platform! Although Take-Two hasn’t given any explanation for their removal initially, it seems they’re back now, just under a different publishing banner.
Upon viewing the fresh Steam listings for both Rollerdrome and OlliOlli World, you’ll notice that despite the consistent developer, Roll7, there has been a shift in publishers. The new publisher is now 2K, which is an affiliate of Take-Two Interactive, rather than Private Division.

Furthermore, clicking on the developer Roll7 actually takes you to the main page of 2K Games on Steam, effectively removing any trace of the developer’s presence initially.
Yet, this situation leaves us wondering where these games disappeared to during this timeframe, as simply rearranging the publisher’s name and internal connections doesn’t clarify why they were removed for several months.
Actually, after their removal from the list, I’ve revisited and completed these games myself. Interestingly, I ended up playing both on the PlayStation 5 because they were previously offered for free as part of the PS Plus collection.
As a gamer, it’s clear that the silence from publishers like Take-Two, 2K, or Private Division could mean they were tangled up in business deals and acquisitions. The games being removed from Steam might have been just a small part of this larger corporate dance.
It seems unfortunate that these games probably didn’t need to be removed from the market initially. Ultimately, the whirlwind of financial transactions and takeovers ended up placing a heavy load on both the financially strained developers and consumers once more.
In essence, it’s a rather insignificant issue, but the silver lining is that you can still acquire these games from Steam, should you have missed them before. And remember, it wouldn’t hurt to hold off until the summer sale arrives.

Although this issue isn’t particularly significant, there’s an opportunity for you to get these games on Steam if you didn’t grab them earlier. But do keep in mind that the upcoming summer sale might offer better deals.
