Fortnite players can’t unlock Cybertruck due to “horrible” Quest restriction

As a long-time Fortnite player, I’ve grown accustomed to the game’s flexible quest system that caters to both solo and team play. However, the latest Summer Road Trip questline has left me and many other players feeling frustrated. The requirement to earn 60,000 XP across different modes in a party is a major issue for those of us who prefer playing alone.

In the latest Fortnite update 30.30, a new questline called the Summer Road Trip was introduced, offering the Cybertruck as a reward upon completion. However, many players are expressing frustration with these quests due to one specific challenge that requires solo players to search for party modes instead of playing on their own.

In Fortnite, there’s something for all types of players, from those who prefer playing alone, to those who enjoy teaming up. The game’s quests are adaptable, allowing you to finish them either on your own or with others.

In the Fortnite Summer Road Trip questline, there’s a specific challenge: earn 60,000 XP in total across various game modes. To complete this task, players must team up in a party. At first glance, this requirement doesn’t seem difficult. However, it’s important to note that XP gained from squad filling (joining an already formed team) does not count towards your progress. This can be a problem for some players.

On Reddit, Hwanlv, a Fortnite player, expressed frustration over a particular quest, and numerous other players shared similar feelings about it.

As a gamer, I found myself in a pickle while trying to complete this quest. The frustrating part was that I couldn’t utilize the “fill” option to find teammates. Instead, I had to reach out to my gaming buddies and ask if anyone was up for a squad session to lend a hand. Is there anyone out there willing to help a fellow gamer out?

One player voiced their annoyance by saying, “I get really bothered when this game insists I play with others,” and another bluntly called these quests “awful.”

Some players proposed diverse strategies ranging from setting up fake bots to registering new accounts on alternative platforms in order to accomplish this task. One individual expressed it as, “It’s time for some alternate account use,” implying that utilizing multiple accounts could potentially be a viable option.

Players believe that allowing the “Squad Fill” feature for this specific quest would significantly improve their experience, even though it’s uncertain if the developers deliberately turned it off.

As someone who has been following the latest gaming news, I’m thrilled to share that if you’re eager to get your hands on the much-anticipated Cybertruck in Fortnite, you have until August 6 to complete all the quests. Now, I understand that some of these tasks might be challenging, but trust me, they’re worth it.
