According to a reputable source familiar with Fortnite, it’s predicted that there will be more collaborations between Fortnite and DC following the closure of Multiversus.
ShiinaBR, recognized for sharing insights about Fortnite and related news, recently discussed Warner Bros.’s revised approach towards DC in gaming following the termination of Multiversus. According to this insider, due to Multiversus, DC had ceased partnerships with other games. However, since it has been announced that Multiversus will no longer continue, its new plan is to strengthen ties with other games once more, with Fortnite, a popular battle royale game by Epic, being one of the potential collaborations.
In the past, Fortnite has featured DC-themed skins, but its partnership with Marvel is far more expansive, as the latter regularly introduces fresh skins tied to each new film or series release. Notably, Fortnite boasts a selection of popular DC characters like Joker, Superman, Wonder Woman, and various Batman variants, alongside other heroes and villains. Gamers are eager for a Fortnite season that immerses them in the DC universe, particularly with the advent of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DCEU (DC Extended Universe).
Last week, Multiversus announced it would officially cease operation, marking its fifth season as the last update. The online play for Multiversus will end on May 30th. After this date, players can still access the game through local gameplay mode, where they can battle AI opponents solo or with up to three friends.
